What does SBC do?
Tell me if I am missing anything. SBC offers:
- Quicker braking response time
- Better distribution of braking around turns
- Elimination of the ABS feel
- Full brake pressure if needed
Is there anything else?

also acts to help understeer and over steer, and when wipers are activated for more than 5 minutes, lightly apply pressure to rotors to eliminate any moisture that may be accumulating at 5 minute intervals.

iirc, it can help up to 3% more, i remember reading, or seeing a video on it, but all i remember was the 3%. its also brake by wire.
it will also cost a whole lot when your warranty is over for repair.

as taken directly from mercedes benz sales associate product knowledge spec book. sensotronic is a electrohydraulic braking system which transmits brake pressure individually to each wheel based on driver input and various vehicle parameters. sensotronic more precisely controls brake pressure at each wheel during normal braking, emergency stopping and esp activity. soft stop precisely modulates brake pressure as the car approaches a stop during normal braking. AUTOMATIC BRAKE DRYING applies the brakes lightly and briefly based on windshield wiper use and driver braking intervals, to reduce moisture on the brake surfaces in wet weather. PREDICTIVE BRAKE PRIMING
sets brake pads nearer the discs when the driver quickly releases the accelerator, for faster brake response.

In non-USA markets it also includeds 2 other excellent features:
1. SBC Hold. This is a bit like an electronic handbrake. You simply press the brake to the floor once the vehicle is stopped. "SBC Hold" is displayed in the multifunction screen in the dash. The vehicle holds steady on any incline until you touch the gas.
2. SBC Stop. This is activated by the same stalk as cruise. It operates only at low speeds and effectively makes the gas pedal act as a gas pedal and a brake. When SBC Stop is activated "SBC Stop" shows on the multifunction screen. As soon as you take your foot off the gas the brakes are immediately applied and the vehicle comes to a gentle stop. This is excellent it heavy rush hour traffic. I believe that the next generation of this in the new S Class is to be coupled with Parktronic to ensure that the stopping distance is safely maintained.

I have an 04 320. The dealer salesperson tells me the brakes are supposed to vibrate and groan...is this true or what because according to some in the forum..you can get an update to fix the annoyance.

I just took mine in for service yesterday, the tech couldn't find anything wrong and didn't here the noise. Service rep. said it's normal, it kinda suck for a 58,000 dollar car to be making such of noise.
Also, is it true that steering wheel warmer only work in the outside temp is 40 degrees and below?
