Command questions
Havent been able to find the answer to a few questions:
Is there a hidden menu for the command system that limits sound volume?
The command system recognizes Albuma and Track titles on some new
cd's. What causes this and can I burn this into compilation cds?
Still no modifications to allow Nokia GSM phones access to command?
Thanks
Chris

2. Burn a copy of the original CD. Use "Burn with CD Text" if you use Nero

Your car is an EU model, isn't it? Why don't you upgrade your DVD to play MP3? Then you will have text both in the cluster and on the COMAND screen.

yes - I have an EU E-220CDI. I already posted here for help, but...
Since I am stationed in the US, diplomatic sales says "ask local dealer", and local dealer says "it's a Euro COMAND and I can't get any update CD" - I gave him a picture of the cover with part# but...
I am kind of stuck here

Why not contact your selling dealer overseas & have them send the update CD with instructions to the US dealer FedEx/Airborne/DHL? Does the selling dealer have e-Mail?
I'm sure the MBUSA parts books/computers don't list Europe Only part numbers...That is, they ONLY list MBUSA Spec parts.

But my selling "dealer" was diplomatic sales Berlin and they say "contact dealer" and dealer says...
This is a never ending story
I hope my local dealer can get the CD, he said he will call some buddies and ask them.

I have done this and I get CD Text on the COMAND Screen, however, all I get is "CD 2 Track 1" on the multifunction display (speedo). What do you get on yours?
Cheers

Glad to see glojo back yesterday! It's only MP3 burned DVD/CD that will show the text in the MFD. CD's burned in WAV-format will only show the name on the COMAND screen.
