Welcome! Please lost a photo of the E. Have you tried replacing the bulb?

pretty sure its an led brake light and more then likely will need to replace it as a whole unit. not too bad a job if your handy with the tools, if not buy the light online using your vin for reference and ask a reputable indy shop to fit it if you dont want to go to the dealerships

Thank you for your advice, had a wiggle of the wiring around the hynges to the boot and light is now working again, for now must have been a loose connection, or possibly a start of break in the wire.

ah yes i forgot about the wiring running through there, can't say ive had any issues with that in the 211's but hey, at least its easier repairing a wire than it is replacing the centre stop

Its not a bulb, but a series of LEDs, therefore if any of the LEDs are out, but some working as on my vehicle, the 3rd brake light must be replaced as a complete unit.

My license plate lights went out and it was the wires frayed and broken at the LR trunk hinge. I patched in a new piece of wire and then made a "thingy" (not technical term) to hold and display the wires to the hinge. The key was to prevent a sharp turn in the wires and make the bend more gentle. I also had to put a plastic sheet on the trunk liner as the wires would catch in the felt material and hang up.

good luck,
Peter
