Question Keeping DPF Clean

I have a 2008 E320 Bluetec and I know that these cars have a DPF system which no only is costly but also need some special care from the owner.
I had my DPF removed and professionally cleaned in a company that only do this kind of job. It was cleaned using what they call "cooking method". They cut the DPF case in two pieces and cook the DPF itself (the filter) for around 8 hours and then clean it, reassemble and test for performance.
Many mechanic say that it is good to add to the Diesel fuel some additive to help keep the exhaust system clean but many of them does not know the appropriated kind of additive to use.
As Mercedes Benz are a kind of sensitive engines and they have too many restrictions about what to and what not to use in their engines, I would like to know from this forum if someone has some good recommendation for some good product to add to the fuel in order to keep the exhaust/ DPF system running healthy.
My car is driven 55 Miles everyday in highway at speed of 65MPH, which according to Bluetec owners, it is good for DPF's system.
Thanks

Diesel suffers from an incomplete fuel molecule burn due to ignition delay and innert gasses from the egr causing soot .

To assist the ignition point is a bonifide Cetane booster , 2-EHN .

This will make for an easier time for the dpf .

I would check and see if you cannot get a tune which minimizes some of the egr volume.

Best thing you can do for do om642 is to minimize oil in the intake. So keep the oil between minimum and 1/2way on the oil. I would encourage doing oil changes early and use 229.52 oil. The airfilters are small, id 1/2 the interval.

Im pretty sure there are companies which can clean your dpf if needed.

Or use a more complete manufacturers spec that's kinder to the dpf !

What is the best way to find out if your EGR is in need of replacement?
Change EGR make sense but only replace without knowing if it is bad or not is not a good idea.
Also about the oil level is another good idea.
Thanks for your reply

Not talking about egr valve replacement. I'm talking about turning down the max % it can feedback into the intake in the software.

We sold our ml and got a om648 car. Wife an mechanic are much happier. Parts are less expensive too.

Congrats for your new OM648 and thanks for your reply.
About EGR for these cars, I noticed that MB dealers change EGRs very frequently. I had a 2009 Bluetec and the previous owner had this car serviced by MB and the service report had EGRs changed couple times.

DPF & SCR exhaust cans are what shortens engine's life regardless how well engine is cared for. They create exhaust back pressure that then increases crank-case pressure so internal engine components such as timing chain, oil cooler, oil filter housing as examples are subjected to this increased pressure & fail. Oil vapor will push up through CCV into turbo's intake then distribute & coalesce through intercooler circuit & intake manifold swirl flaps. Frequent air & oil filters + strict adherence to MB's oil specs can push back inevitable for a little while but eventually DPF's ceramic element will reach saturation of ash plugs & regens will become more frequent (burning MORE diesel fuel) but won't achieve objective meanwhile back pressure will be like bananas in tailpipe, causing issues already mentioned. The om642 should have been installed only in configurations that allowed for 13 quart oil pan & large single air filter like found in sprinter vans. The om642 is basically shoe-horned into 211 & shortcuts were made to make it fit such as 8 qt oil pan & batwing air-filters that suck.
