Question about iCarsoft OBD2 reader

Hey Everyone,
I want to buy an iCarsoft reader to diagnose a SRS light on my W211. I am in doubt about a few options:
1. ICARSOFT 660 multibrand, which also seems to work for MB for $99
2. ICarssoft i980 for $110
3. I Carsoft MB2 for $150

Which one would you choose? Have you ever used the icarsoft 660?

Thanks!

If you are using it for a Mercedes defiantly go with the MB2. There are many systems a generic OBD2 scanner won't check. The MB2 will do generic OBD2 checks on other vehicles.

I ended up returning it after a month. I bought it to reset the SRS light on my 2003 E320 that came on after a malfunction on the lower control unit and MB2 could not reset the light. There was nothing wrong with my SRS and all the codes were only "stored". Even though, MB2 could not reset it. I had to go to the dealer and pay the diagnostic fee and they reset it with no problems. I'm saving to buy an autel reader.

After reading codes you have to go back to the main menu before resetting codes. You were using it wrong.

You don't know what you are talking about. I read the codes, went back to the main menu to reset dtcs. I paid an experienced MB technician to check if I was doing something wrong and he confirmed that there was something wrong with Icarsoft MB2 and that he had the same issue with other cars and MB2

No, you don't know what you're talking about. For a bunch of the modules including ABS once you read codes you have to exit the ABS module, then re enter and clear codes, key off then back on to check. Thats the only way to clear codes. Its spelled out in the online manual. If the code still won't clear you haven't fixed the cause of the ABS issue.

I am absolutely aware... I read the manual and I've tried every way you can think to try to reset the SRS DTCs. I even updated carsoft to see if that is the issue. I've filmed the whole process for my channel.

the problem in my case was that icarsoft was falsely reading that the driver airbag and the front ETR squibs had resistance too large, even though there was nothing wrong with them. That was preventing the DTCs from being deleted. I even removed the airbag and put a 3 ohm resistor on he airbags and ETR squibs and MB2 would still read them incorrectly and wouldn't allow the DTCs to be erased.

You didn't read the part that wrote before that I hired an MB technician that is used to work with Icarsoft MB2 to help me and he came to the conslusion that there was a problem with the reader.

I posted a huge thread about this that nobody in this forum bother to reply.

I even got a different SRS module with the same part number as per the tech's guidance to see if MB2 would change the reading.
