Dvd In Motion.. In Usa!!! (stock E500)

Has anyone been able to do this with a STOCK 2005 E500/320? I am able to do the 537 trick and bring up the menus, but setting it to 211ECE doesn't seem to do anything.
I am however, able to play CD or DVD MP3s just fine -- without doing the 537 trick.
Would love to hear from any other stock 2005s who've had success with making changes with the trick that have any visible or audible effects. I really want to hear the Brit chick on my Nav.

yes you can install a navigation in the 2003 E 500 and you can install the dvd command if you like Mercedes for got to install the navigation harness in the trunk only in 300 cars all the rest of the E class should have the harness all you will need to do is plug in and play if you like more info MBDOCTOR.COM

You can try this:
For all of your guys from Europe that has a car that is equipped with DVD/TV, and is frustrated when the screen goes black at 8 km/h and above. Here is the solution:
Take your car to your dealer, and talk to the guy who is responsible for the Star Diagnostic System.
Ask him to do the following:
1. Menu “TV in Motion” is greyed out (German: TV während der Fart)
2. Activate the “Rear Seat Monitor” (even if it’s not installed) (German: Heckmonitore freigeben)
3. Then you will have access to the menu: “TV in motion”. Activate it.
4. Go to the menu: DVD-Region. If it’s EUROPE, change it to D (Germany) and back to Europe
5. Give the guy some pocket money
Enjoy, but be aware: It’s your responsibility as a driver to keep your eyes on the road, and leave the entertainment to your passenger!
Ps.
The menus will probably not be exactly as I spelled it, but you/he will find something very similar.

omg wow i have video lmao i cant belive it and i almost bought a euro command this is crazy who ever said it dosent work on 04 ur crazy wow i was just watchin live free or die hard will this function also let me play mp3's and give me an eta for my nav

ok ppl im tellin you for a fact that not all units have to be euro to play dvds i have an 04 e320 and it works flawless i couldnt belive it i also tried it on one of my bro's cars same model but he recently got his nav installed by the dealer so maybe they deleted somthing anyways it didnt work on his car we could barley pull up the 357 menu i t only worked twice and he only has dvd under keybord not model

Sometimes it's better to bring up an old thread to ask questions than to start a new one and have people tell you to do a "search". Hopefully he can get his question answered by someone other than OP.
I think for the 07's you might just have to switch to a Euro Comand.

(found a quarter and a dime inside the player and after I removed I forgot to try the dvd, it was showing dvd and audio cd before on the load screen.. I updated and lost it..
)After reading the thread it appears the that the 05+ US hardware was updated thus removing video decoding.
A few enthusiastic people have retrofitted their cars with the 04 head but I don't know what that entails..
