2003 E320 Electical Blunder

Replaced voltage regulator 2003 E320 (Electical Consumer Malfunction), started car and seveval codes started flashing including brake failure. Turned car off tried to start again it cranked very slowly and then stopped cranking totally. Any good guidance would be appreciated.TY
