Transmission number
2009 MB e350 4matic wagon
Considering DIY transmission fluid and filter change but I don't know what number my transmission is? I see 722.9, 722.6, 722.6xx etc in the threads I've searched, but not sure which mine is. I think it's 722.6xx because when I down shift manually it goes into 4th gear according to the display so it must be a 5 speed, correct? I'd like to find some detailed instructions on the fluid and filter change and have seen several on the 722.9 but not 722.6.
1 - How do I know which transmission I have?
2 - Anyone know of a link to detailed instructions for that transmission?

Based on the link the Konigstiger posted, I am glad you realized your Indy was not very well informed on these transmissions. At this point, even if the Indy accepted to do the job, I would not sleep well anyway. So, it is either a DIY or another Indy.

sorry for the repeat
Apologies for the repeat question guys. I actually did search for it in the 211 forum just today but came up dry, and I'm the one who asked the question 8 years ago! I appreciate the pdf's as well. No need to continue this thread.

You can pick up a case of Shell ATF 134 at a Shell distributor. Last time I got it, it was around $60 for a case of 12 quarts which is much cheaper than the $20+ from the dealer. In MA, there's a distributor in Worcester.
