New MB Windshield Sticker
Wow! Pretty poor! It looks like it was penned with a felt tip marker by a kid in art class!
The "handwriting" is thick, childlike & just says Mercedes. Looks like it was squeezed out of a cake writing bag on top of a birthday cake. Not "fine crastsmanship" looking. Inelegant.
I'd remove it.

Don't have any to post. It was on a loaner car I had when my '04 was getting its 1st "B Service". You'll see them very soon as these cars begin to hit the streets.

The new stickers are not quite as tacky as chrome rocker panels that say "Fresh E320", but they're one small step along the way.
Besides, I always thought the car was a "Mercedes-Benz."

The new stickers (I have one on my 05 E500) are, I am told, designed specially to address the dreaded drift to the right problem by subtlely changing the balance of the car. Like those tags under your furniture, it is undesirable, if not illegal to remove them. In fact, if you remove the sticker and your car starts drifting to the right, the dealer will disclaim responsibility. It voids the warranty.
Seriously, folks, who cares about a sticker? Its about the least functional thing on the car. If you don't like it, scrape it off and have nice neat look, or for about a dollar you can get an old sticker from any dealer. If you like the old stickers, put them on all your window corners to show your loyalty to G. Daimler.

It's not a major deal to me. It's more sentimental. I vividly remember how I admired the Daimler signature on Mercedes Benz cars when I was a kid. For whatever reason, it really impressed me. To me, it was THE mark of excellence (regardless of what GM used to say). Until this day, it had been there for many many years. Now, it's gone and replaced with something new. Oh well...

Jocko, I have loved Benzes since a child. I have brochures and drawings that go way back. Sad to see the boardrooms kill some great heritage.

I hate the new one too. BTW I also dispize the yellow lawyer stickers they plaster all over (console, visors, door frames, etc.). I can usually peel them off easily but the ones on the visors are a b**ch to get off!

There are not a lot of them floating around just yet. It looks like they didn't slap the new ones on beginning w/ MY '05... sort of like when they ran out or got bored...
The one I saw was on a loaner '05 ML I had last Fri. But the guys here are good w/ cameras. A pic will show up pretty soon.

I'd like to think that it doesn't make a difference to me...but honestly I really like the signature on the sticker, and I like having it on the car. Hopefully the new sticker won't be as bad as I think it is. Can't wait to see it.
On my old C Class the guy at the service station hacked up the sticker when he was scraping off the inspection sticker and I was suprised at how upset I was - it was kind of like the whole experience was tarnished...my friends thought I should see a shrink!

I'll confess...
...I had my windshield replaced, non-oem, and the installer moved the sticker to the new glass. I was very happy.

The "signature" sticker is tasteful, but I have to say that the new sticker is tacky. There are plenty of other things on the cars that identify them as a "MB".
