Surging Idle when the brakes are pressed.
Hi All,
New to this forum and I have a question. Hope to get answers to my 2000 E320 problem.
Had some issues with the car not passing smog check, but after replacing a vacuum hose that run through close to the EGR valve, the car passed smog. After about 2 months of driving, it sporadically, (I have a couple more old cars that I use), the CAR STARTED SURGING AT IDLE WHEN THE BRAKES ARE PRESSED AND THE SHIFTER IS IN "DRIVE". It runs good in low and regular speeds, in the roads and freeway otherwise. I looked at the intake all the way to the flapper valve, but the flapper valve opens and closes manually fine with no power. Any insight from the group would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ray
