Possible turbo? Maybe not, maybe something else?
w211, 2007 V6 diesel.
No engine management light on. Driving to work this morning generally up to 50 mph, I thought it felt a bit flat going up a slight incline so I accelerated, nothing much happened, so booted it expecting a kick down and good acceleration, nothing happened but the same ambling along. Stopped and switched engine off and restarted. Everything returned to normal and carried on being ok for the next five miles or so.
I called my local garage, not an MB specialised but main dealer for other makes so not incompetent. Was told that without the management light coming on they cannot carry out diagnostic.
Returning home, after about five miles or so it lost the turbo (or at least lost the kick of the turbo) and felt flat again. I stopped engine restarted and every thing ok again for the next fifteen miles to home.
it had a new turbo in about two thousand miles ago, no problems after that.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you posted on a European forum or went to a specialist shop they would know exactly what is bugging your turbo control.
Ask for estimate else everyone is gona replace your expensive low-mileage unit again without any results.
I am going to volunteer this....
-- your boost valve may have failed or
-- perhaps one of the misc sensor that makes it run well after a restart the way you describe it.

Now the up side is there are not many parts left with your turbo boost... meaning the turbine is new then which part goes next after that?
