Hey guys, I need help finding a rather large short. After waking up to a dead battery and stinky cabin after a large rain, I took the battery out and charged it. I know there is a water leak because the cabin is stinky and I've found moist spots in the headliner. This is my wife's car so I have not had my eye on it. I only hear about problems when they result in a disabled car. Anyhow...
When I put the battery back, I got a large pop and arc on the negative terminal. So much so that I can't put the cable on. It's melting the lead on the battery.
I then took out all the fuses and relays from the front and rear SAMs as well as the dash to hopefully isolate the draw. I also disconnected a few of the cables in the front passenger compartment circled in the image below. I then put the negative cable back on the battery and I still have the very large draw.
I also inspected the battery control module in the trunk and it was fine.
I ran out of time so I haven't done more.
What else could be pulling this much power?
