Go to workshop error in my dash
From my research, I found that it might be related to the battery, alternator, brake system, or AIRMATIC.
I have AIRMATIC on all four tires, but I can’t tell if it’s acting strange or if it’s normal. I just bought my car last week, and it’s my first Benz and first car with AIRMATIC.
I went to AutoZone to read the code, but there wasn’t any.
Does anybody know what it could be?
Thanks.

FYI - I found out today that MB is moving all vehicles through 2006 model year, which includes the pre-facelift W211, to the Classic Car category. Diagnosis and repairs will get even more expensive at dealers.
A dedicated scanner and these forums can save you at lot of money and frustration.
I actaully got one from temu it's in the mail but I only add to my cart because it was only $6 I think it won't be any better than autozone scanner.
The dealer I got the car is actaully trying to help, I had battery low convenience functions not available error. They fixed that. Their mechanic told me to stop by the shop to look to the air suspension. That warning light comes only after driving the car 20-30 miles it's not on now but I am still going to stop by.
Yesterday I raised the car and lowered it back to normal. There was no air leak noise. Hopefully it's not something big.
This is my first Mercedes-Benz. I got this after my model 3 totaled in an accident. I liked Tesla but I love this car. Hopefully after fixing this I can ride the next 2-3 years.

Some people use iCarsoft scanners, but search this forum and the W204 forum to see which version is best.
I have 2 Autels, a tablet style and a handheld. They are multi-vehicle, programmable, and upgradable because I maintain multiple brands. You don’t need that.
But I do not have any warning sign like I posted in the picture above.
Reviews were saying it can read any code other than check engine light but I am not sure if it's not the right device.

It read two fault codes 5330 and 5380
They are for left rear open circuit.
Hopefully it's just the wires. I will be going to a European mechanic next week to have it fixed. Dealer mentioned mechanic is very good but they are very busy we are looking for an opening for the next week.
I will update here what they did and if it fixed it for future reference if anyone has the same issue.

Even if its a electrical issue for the air suspension for me it makes more sense to have it converted and be done with air.

Is the ride will be lot rougher?

I’m not familiar with that specific kit. Some convert to OE springs and use a coder to deal with the warnings. If this is equivalent to the standard suspension, the W211 steel springs are like riding on air anyway. Tire stiffness is more important than suspension type.
Your symptoms sound like what happens when an old airmatic that has been sitting starts up. Driven daily it may not show the warning until it reaches the point where it can’t maintain pressure.

Now to the airmatic issue. I find the following video and a great Airmatic 101 class for anyone new to the topic
