I received a 2006 E350 as a gift from my brother who owned the car for a while but never cared to ask or find out if it is an AMG or not.
it looks like an E55 AMG has everything AMG except its a 6 cylinder. Did they make such a car or did someone add a lot to make it look like one.

It is not an AMG. Seat covers are the non-AMG pattern. Wheels are not correct for either the AMG or non-AMG E-class. Grill is not chromed plastic finish. MB emblem attached to the hood is missing. One look at the brakes will confirm; AMG used eight-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear. Non-AMG used slider calipers. AMG has four exhaust tips; non-AMG has two exhaust tips.
It's a poseur.
Pull that **** off and enjoy the car for what it is. A fine 3.5 liter V6 sedan with plenty of power and a comfortable ride of which one can be proud.
Thanks for the info I figured it wasent real. the exhaust is quad with amg on the tips, the brakes are sliders and someone put a brabis logo on the hood. I’m not complaining I got it for nothing and will enjoy driving it for sure.
There is no badging on the car so that’s good as far as the wheels they are pretty pitted and need to be replaced anyway. The motor has some issues so I will enjoy it as long as it last thanks.
Lol even the radio says amg on it when you turn the car on.. do you guys have any recommendations for rims that I should potentially look to find or just some random aftermarket ones?
Went through the owners manual found the original window sticker. Someone spent a lot of money to make it look like an amg I’ll never understand the logic. I’ve always had mustangs and the amount of people that do the same thing with the cobras it’s like why.
I lost the picture. There was a local (two door) CLK240 that literally had every item from the sticker kit on the car....CLKSE 6530 AMG 4Matic Kompressor (or some such thing).
