I just received 2 replacement key fob casing for my 2 button cell battery key fob. I've included the link from the AliExpress dealer that I bought them from.
Changing over the PCB is easy. Remove the battery holder from the original fob. Then pull out the PCB just below the lock/unlock buttons. Use a set of needle nose pliers.
Now insert the PCB into the new key fob casing. Then move the 2 batteries across into the new battery holder, then insert the battery holder into the new key fob. Test. Everything should work!!!

You can't see it well in the photo but there is a small piece of plastic that comes with the new case where the MB logo is on the original key case. That piece of plastic doesn't have the MB logo. You could possibly remove the MB logo from the original case and stick it on the replacement case.

Ah gotcha the mb logo is a extra cost option basically or not offered. : )
Great idea anyway, I have repaired many of the Gen 2 SmartKeys when they got wet with cracked buttons. Wet finger wicks rain/coffee/beer inside too well.
