Be sure to check the brake fluid level first to insure you have enough to seat all the pads and not suck air from low fluid.

hi giys I do have a question tho when i tool the tire off to inspect the rear brakes I did not see where to start I did see the clip on the side would I remove that clip or remove the bolts to do the pads..?

It was not like any picture I have seen, the fronts I think have the large clip on top the rear had a clip on the side.

Thanks just getting info for next time !!

Thanks,

E350 sport
Hello everyone! First post here. I have a 2008 E350 sport packages since new. This weekend I will change all brake rotors and pads. I have purchased ATE Rotors with the fronts drilled and Akebono pads. This is a first for me changing brakes on any car but interested to learn and does seem fairly straight forward. I want to be sure I have all the proper tools and not find myself missing a key item. I've ready and watched videos online but have not found anything conclusive to all the sizes needed. Any help with this would be appreciated. Which torx and allen sizes will I need.

Thanks!

The pins seen to vary between Torx and Hex.
Make sure you have the right size and type because you don't want to strip the head or break the tool.

The rear of my 07 is a Torx, but for get the size (but do remember breaking a bit because I used one a size too small.
The front was a Hex and an odd size that I had to make by grinding an inch size bit down a little.
