Dealership Woes
I recently purchased a 2005 E320 CDI with a little over 180k on it. I took it to a nearby mb dealership to get the transmission looked at. After they drained the fluid, I was told I needed to replace the transmission. $7,500 later I had a rebuilt transmission in the car with a new torque converter and conductor plate. It didn't shift right so I took it back. I was told the transmission control module needed replacement. They replaced it and I hauled the car home on my trailer. They apparently hadn't test drove it, it wouldn't shift beyond 3rd gear. Towed it back. Over 3 months later, and a few new modules, I get the car back. The transmission works great. Though the stereo won't get past the Mercedes symbol, nothing in the driver's door works, no power at all in the trunk, and the car had been in a minor accident on the passenger side of the rear bumper. The dealership claims no liability on any of the issues.
I was wondering if the issues could be a programming issue? I've been troubleshooting the issues and it's not fuses, the wires are hooked up with power to the drivers door module, and I'm at a loss here.
