2004 E500 Brake Failure!!

now in limp mode and can't drive it and spent a lot of money on it and can't afford a nuther car and cant afford to miss work dont have a clue wat to do it just doesn't seem justified thay can get away with Mass producing a car that is so dangerous
I didn’t like the SBC system because failures were unpredictable, as in your case and mine. I wouldn’t buy another car with SBC. But the history is well known and documented.
They didn’t “get away” with anything. They got the message. The SBC system was in the W211 only for 2003-2005. It is covered by a 25 year unlimited mileage warranty if you still own one.
Assuming the car isn’t totaled, MB can fix the brakes under warranty. Insurance can fix car as MB will deny responsibility for “incidental damage.” As far as getting to work until then, there’s Uber. If you want more, there’s lawyers. Good luck.
To begin brake job this week on my 2005 E500. Haven't heard the above on the many tutorials videos and such. I have been watching FCP Euro videos.
Is the recommendation legit? If so what is at issue?

There is also a complicated procedure to disable SBC using key clicks and HU buttons inside the car. It’s been about 10 years since I have had the E320 so I don’t remember the sequence.
Not disabling the SBC before brake work will result in damage or injury. The SBC sets the brakes when the car is unlocked or a door is opened to prevent roll away.
Pulling the fuse might work, and so might disconnecting the wiring harness at the control unit. But doing anything not approved could affect the function of the brakes and might turn out to be dangerous.
