All season Mats and Dead Foot Pedal.
I have the all season mats and even though I am not using my car in the winter I wanted to know, does the floor mats cover the dead foot pedal. My dealer is saying that only the 4Matics cover that spot and are about 4 inches narrower due to the loss of floor space from the 4 Matic.
Do any of you have Merc floor mats (non 4Matic) that cover the dead foot pedal?

I’m not sure however if this is what you’re asking since you say you already have all season mats. If you’re questioning the standard mats, they do not cover the dead pedal – at least for 03, 04, and early 05 so far.

Are the all seasons "good enough" to trap the melted snow water so that it doesn't run off the rubber mat onto the real carpeting below while driving? When you take out the all seasons, is the floor below untouched?

I’m sure Steve (SAquirre) can answer your question. You can search the forum for interior pictures he posted a while back to take a look.

There is a modest lip, maybe 1/4 inch. It should be adequate for the most part, but I suppose if you track a lot of snow and/or are going up or down a hill, it may overflow. Of course, this advice is coming from someone living in the bay area where it hasn't snowed in the flatlands since about 1975

FWIW, the Euro Delivery carpeted mats do cover the dead pedal/footrest area, if you're luck enough to have a set. The standard USA carpeted mats (which are put in at the port of entry) do not cover the footrest, altho they're more elegant with a stitched-in MB logo.

My mats (winter and summer) have a cover for the dead foot pedal. I will see if I can find a picture.
Steve
Here it is: You can see the hump on the passenger’s side from the 4 Matic’s transfer case. Also, it is clear that the winter mats cover the dead foot pedal.
I can not repost the pictures, but here is the thread: Reason I bought a 4 Matic
