Auto mode turn on fog light?
I like to leave my light in "auto" mode. But I also like to turn on my fog light when I driving at night. Anyway that I can make my "auto" mode light up my my fog light together with my headlight?
Thanks,

No, there is now way to do this that I am aware of. Since I have the Xenon lights, I have had little use for fog lights. I would recommend the upgrade if you want more light.

These are OK, but we have had a lot of fog here (last night and this morning) and I had to turn off my xenon low beams to get better lighting. When you only use the fog lights, it is best if you drive real slowly, you can't see too far with them. It was dense enough to have to turn on the rear fog light!
I think that the rule was that if the light were above the bumper, they had to be yellow to cut past the fog. If they are under the bumper they can be white since they will illuminate under where the fog floats. I find this to be kind of true, but I still liked the better placed yellow fogs in my good old 300E. The W211s don't shine far out enough to see much.
Just my opinion,
Steve

Yeah the yellow seems to be specifically geared for fog whereas the white are often referred to as driving lights - good for lighting up the road just a bit more in every day circumstances...

...and illegal to use too in the UK unless visibility is poor.

BTW, my '84 318I also had great fog lights. They were clear but very low.

I changed my bulbs to yellow, but I also wish I could have a way to have it on auto and have the fogs on. At the very least the car should be smart enough that even if you dont have it on auto that the lights should shut off automatically after the car is locked. My car's battery has already died once due to a valet guy turning the lights on ( i cant imagine why since htey were on auto already and turned on by themselves) and I ignored the chime due to having keyless go as well.
