Guys, tell me what you were quoted on extended warranty
Would appreciate your feedback. Went to my dealer last week to get pricing and I think they gave me "regular" E pricing by mistake. I know AMG and the V12's are different. Here's what they quoted me:
1 yr. $1,580
2 yr. $1,990
3 yr. $2,380
I called MBUSA and was told the "MSRP" for AMG's is:
1 yr. $2390
2 yr. $2960
3 yr. $3410
Were the prices quoted to me by my dealer for the regular E? I think I better run up there with a check and see if they'll still honor the price they gave last week!

E500 Sport Wagon and Sl500
Extended warranty pricing......
My salesman....Pete Grillo......Keenan Motors....215-348-0800, quoted for a 2004 E500, 2 years-$1590, 3 years-$1890. I would imagine the same discount would apply to the E55. Call him and check it out.

Sent Lisa Marie an e-mail over the weekend as just heard back. 3 yrs. $2,390. My dealer at $2,380 unless that is for "regular" E. Now at least I have a valid quote from another to take to my dealer.

Warranty Pricing
Cte430:
The prices reflected in your original post are the "suggested retail prices" shown in the official Mercedes brochure. I have one from the dealership. Yes, the 36 month/$2380 only applies to the "normal" E class. S-Class, CL Class, AMG and V-12 Models have a price of $3,410 for 36 months. The fact that the brochure describes the price as suggested retail in itself indicates (IMHO) that negotiations are possible. My E-500 is on the way and I intend to purchase the extended warranty.
Counting the Days :p

Build date 2-04 E500
I paid $1875 for an additional 3 years up to 100,000 miles... As stated already the prices for these extended warranties ARE negotiable. Don't be a sucker and pay full price.
B.T.W this was bought from my dealer at the time of purchase of my car (day of delivery).

i just returned from dealer having dropped off car for 1st service. long list, another story..........
decided to go with extended warrantee and printed out alot of posts from forum to bring with me for bargaining.
they were very firm with prices but discounted 15% for customer loyalty
so the best i could do was $2023 for 3yr 100k policy plus sales tax.
they said any quote below that could not be factory policy and was an outsourced insurance company.
i showed them 10 posts from this list and they wouldnt budge, but at least i got the 15%.
hope this helps

C32
outsourced?
I will take that outsource explanation with a grain of salt. About 3 months after dealing with Lisa Marie Lehrbaum for my 04 C32 extended warranty I received a packet from MBUSA. I am sure she's not the only one, but if you buy from a dealer it should be a factory warranty. For comfort's sake I suggest obtaining an answer to this question in black and white.
