Thanks for sharing. Will be a great vehicle. Saw one at the demo day at the local dealer a week ago.
This E-Class will be a hit especially with the Sport package. Love the new MB design look inside and out. Makes the W211 look boring which is still a nice car today.

Before K-A comes around and posts yet another poop about W212 and this article let me say that Edmunds has just given a huge boost to the MB's summer efforts. The ending of the article is great. It makes you want to drive the thing!
I cannot wait to test drive one next weekend!

I don't know about the rest of you but the car is actually growing on me. I wasn't really feeling it when it came out, and I'm still not 100% loving it, but I've definitely warmed up to it. I think with the right package and color combination I could be talked into getting one.

Wow first place! That is great news, I think this car is going to do well. MB doesn't often win first place in comparison tests but these guys really loved the car. That white Sport looks pretty amazing, put a Pano roof on it and it's perfect!

Good finding, 1st place nice!

Ooh, Chekaldin, I'm glad I have such an impact on you.
Props to M-B for creating a technological and engineering masterpiece. It honestly makes me lust to own this piece of equipment even considering how much I dislike its aesthetic and a few interior materials. I love how solid and well engineered my W211 feels, to think the W212 is the same car but further enhanced, just makes me gush and want to own one.
But I've always been a bit of a "form over function" fellow, and although the car gets such praise and (obviously as it's the newest Sedan out, and made by M-B) it will get #1's until the next 5-Series comes out next year, in terms of its styling, these Magazines rarely have great things to say about it.
Here is an excerpt from this Article, remember, that cars always get the most styling praise when they're new, and a few years into it, the compliments simmer. Also to note, in the Video, they say how "it might not be the sexiest car, but....". BTW, I LOVE the XF, but agree with you guys that I don't think I could pay for a Jaguar, seems to be a shaky future for them right now.
"According to civilian observers, the 2010 Jaguar XF is the clear winner on style. Everywhere we drive it, people take notice. There's simply not a bad angle from which to view it, although its silhouette is a familiar one these days, as the Lexus GS confirms. Even so, we're still not enamored by Jaguar's use of the Leaper insignia on the trunk lid, a reversal of Jag's usual practice where the Leaper is on the hood and the Growler badge is on the trunk. The diagonal Leaper on the trunk just seems to hang there uncomfortably.
The BMW 5 Series has aged well, and the aero tweaks of the 550i Sport make it look sharper and more menacing, like an M5. There isn't a misplaced line, proportion or gesture in the mix. In these ways, it reminds us of a well-tailored men's suit.
The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E550 Sport draws mixed reviews. Those who like it say the new chiseled sheet metal makes it look like George Clooney. Those who don't like it say it looks like a chunky old S-Class. Nevertheless, we think it's fresh, attractive and unmistakably a Mercedes-Benz."
^^ And that's actually a pretty positive review, considering what some others are saying.

So you're saying the new E looks like a Malibu?
Funny because I do think M-B has "drawn influence from" a lot of car makers with the design theme of this W212, GM being one of them (Cadillac's "Art And Science" themes mainly). The Malibu is actually my beater, I do some long distance driving for work, and want to keep the E nice and pretty since I like it, and after a few months as my work-horse, it would turn to a beat up piece.
I gotta say the Malibu is a great car though, nice design especially for the price point, has resemblances and features from cars that cost a lot more, and I got it for an amazing price, with 100K Warranty.
On top of that, it makes me REALLY appreciate my Benz when I get in it.
