Why is 2010 E350 Sunroof is closing and tilting up?

My 2010 E350 Sport Sedan's Standard Sunroof closes then tilts up when I unlock the car in the mornings after locking in the nights (dark) with the sunroof open.
Local dealer re-produced this on another showroom 2010 E350 as well.
Mercedes Benz Technical Support has no explanation.

It's not clear if this is a feature or malfunction, but I really like to disable this.
Does anyone have the same experience, ideas or any explanation?

Thanks is Advance.
VS.

It may be the rain-closing feature; the sunroof closes automatically if it starts to rain, at extreme outside temperatures, after 12 hours, if there is a malfunction in the power supply. The rear of the sliding/tilting sunroof is then raised in order to ventilate the interior of the vehicle.

Is this documented somewhere in the manual?
I am going to take your word on this as there is no issues except the fact that I am unable to disable this feature. Thanks for your response.

There's nothing about the rain feature in my (Canadian) documentation.

Are you experiencing the same thing with your sunroof as well?

The European manual has it:

This seems to be resolved after dealer replaced the ceiling control panel for the sunroof & interior lighting due to a noisy fan. So now I'm confused if this was really a feature or a defect. Originally dealer also mentioned that he was able to re-produce this on his showroom car.

Car is in a closed garage at night, so I do not lock it, but I genenerally leave the sunroof tilted open. May go for 2-3 days without using the car and have never experienced any of this.
Have parked car in hot sun for hours and sunroof never tilted open unless I did it.

You did not read carefully the conditions konigstiger listed. The sunroof closes under the conditions listed (and then tilts).

Previously the rain closing feature was disabled from US cars, I have not checked if it is different for the W212.

If you leave the sunroof tilted then you won't be able to re-produce my issue. It has to be left open all the way like I do. Thanks for the response.
