CHEAP WAYS: to make car faster
M-B kinda builds their motors in a "lock n key" way, i.e good luck finding any extra power. You could probably get an ECU thing done, but again I'll bet gains will be minimal, and it won't be all that cheap. As well, Warranty issues might come up.
If anyone has gotten any respectable and decently priced power out of a 350, I'd be interested in hearing about it....

IMHO, I think the 350 engine does well for what it's designed to do. It's a good balance between fuel efficiency and power (for a V6). It's fast enough to accelerate up to CA freeway speeds with ease, and is very smooth when cruising at a constant speed. Of course it's not going to beat an AMG car in a drag race, but how many people NEED to race other cars and win every single day? (If you do, then the E350 isn't for you.) As a daily driver, the 350 does just fine (much better than my old C240).
It's a good high-tech motor (compared to what M-B replaced it from at least), and does the job. Greatest part is, it's not a fussy 6-banger that has to rev too high, or makes too much noise, as ultimately, its job is to help provide a luxurious ride.

I went with the Kleemann ECU Upgrade and noticing a difference in the power - 20-25hp/tq at crank. Here is the link that I recently posted.
