Actually my mistake, for the coupe there is an "appearance package" for the sedan we call it the "sport package" which is a free upgrade for the sedan. I guess if you can get the dress up kit as you call it cheaper than what Mercedes sells it for then sure why not. How much money are you saving by getting the replica? How much is the real one from MB and how much is the replica?
Oh I know the deal trust me because I was so annoyed when I saw the $300 on MBUSA and asked a few dealers. That is the non painted price, basically you are looking at $600-$900 to have it painted and installed and the dealer agreed its way cheaper to get it aftermarket like I did.
Heard back from my dealer yesterday that the $300.00 price is for a finished/installed spoiler. I added it to my car.
The description in the build a vehicle link must be wrong when it says it's unfinished - either that or when I get my car it will have a primed/un-painted rear deck lid spoiler laying on the back seat. Still looking at end of December delivery.
