HomeLink Loses Settings
I have a 2010 E350. Love it... but twice now the HomeLink has lost all of its settings for opening my gate and garage doors. Has anyone else experienced the same problem. Thanks!

Barolo S550, 2010 E, 1966 SL & others.
On occasion both my S-class and the 212 E take a few moment before the door will respond, but then after being persistent it will finally function. I can tell you though that it is most likely the garage door opener (mine is a Wayne Dalton and they are notorious for having weak home-link action). Check the door for roaming code capability and confirm that its correctly coded for that first before assuming that its the car.

The problem is definitely not my garage door, since this affects two garage doors and a gate. As I said, this is the second time this has happened. It will work fine for weeks, even months, then suddenly all three buttons do nothing.

I had the same problem when I first got my E350. I had to synchronize once a week with the opener. Solved the problem by clearing everything out of homelink and re-entering. Have not had a problem since.

It happened to me for the first time last night. Had to reprogram. Hopefully all will be well and this won't be a recurring problem.

As I recall you hold the two outside buttons simultaneously until the light flashes.

Happened to me twice. Turned out the soft rubber buttons will occasionally stick in if they are not pressed evenly. It is really not a good design. Need to press them in straight and easy so they don't get cocked at an angle when pressed.
