350 v 550 rear valance

Hi all; I have an arctic white 350 coupe, P2, Appearance package. The rear bumper, to me, looks like it has too much white area - I like the 550 lower valance in the satin black, it breaks up the rear bumper and in my opinion looks sportier. Of course that means the exhaust finishers would have to be changed to match the valance. Does anyone know if those parts are interchangable? Thanks. Cairo

i think it's because you got the elegance model and you're referring to the sport package!

you're talking about the rear difuser. it's a totally different kit than the elegance model

Uhhh....no; Thanks but I am talking about the E class not the C class. On the E 350 coupe with appearance package the rear bumper is all white. On the 550 coupe with appearance package the rear valance (or defuser) is black. But thanks for playing along. I like the C350 Sport by the way but my wife wanted the E coupe.

Lucky for both of you the E-Coupe is in actuality, really a W204 C-Class.

I don't know if, or think the parts are interchangeable, but your bumper should have an outlined "area" (not sure if the Coupes do) where the black would be, IMO just get it vinyl wrapped or maybe painted if you want to go the more cost-effective route, otherwise I'd imagine you might have to buy a whole new bumper, possibly.

Do I understand that you are saying the E coupe and C350/300 have the same rear bumper?

LOL you arent getting what Im saying

you got the elegance version of the car..
you couldve got it to look just like the E550 coupe, which is just the sports package bumpers.

your e350 and the one you saw are 2 completely different bumpers.
you'll either have to paint your difuser black or get the AMG bumper

Well I don't get it apparently. Maybe the models are different in Canada. I have the E350 coupe, P1, P2 and appearance package. It is identical to the E550 coupe except for the V8 engine and the lower rear defuser and exhaust finishers. So looking at the car the only exterior difference is the defuser and finishers. There was no elegance/sport model distinction for U.S. cars. Sorry if I am not stating it well.

Does your car have the AMG Package? If it doesn't (I'm not sure if 350 Coupe's are avail with it?) than that's the difference right there, i.e only the AMG Package bumpers will have the diffuser.

If your car does indeed have the *AMG* Package, then the only reason I can think that your car being otherwise aesthetically identical to an E550 Coupe yet without the black diffuser, is that they only do that to differentiate the V6 and V8 models. If that's the case, than it should be easy to paint that outlined area black, or get it vinyl-blacked, etc.
