E350 4Matic Ride Height

E350 4Matic Ride Height
Does anyone have information about the ride height of the vehicle? I'm deciding on getting one, but it looks like the car is quite low to the ground, and might not work too well on 6-7 inches of snow. BTW, I will get snow tires.

I just took a rough measurement of my parked E550 4Matic with sport suspension activated - it looks like 6 inches should be okay, much more than that you are plowing.
The airmatic suspension can raise the car another inch or so as well...

Have had 2 E 4matics 01 and now an 05 with a 2010 on order. Height has never been an issue around here even with 7 plus inches of snow. As for snow tires I find tha OEM all season tired to be just fine but I do not know where you are located.

I live in Vancouver, Canada, and usually there's only a few inches of snow (because the city never plow the snow in small streets/alleys), but last winter was so bad that only SUVs didn't get stuck.

In Vancouver I really do not think you will have an issue unless you have a very unusual storm when no one can get around anyway. I also do not think you will need snow tires. I suggest that you give it a try without them as the car will ride better and be quieter without snows.
Also if you have not owned an MB with 4Matic before, remember that if you do happen to get stuck and need to rock the car to get going, turn off the ESP.

I'm on my 3rd 4matic and never had any issues in the snow so far. All of my cars had/have the all season Michelins. Ride height was never an issue even in the biggest snow storm (and my street is usually the last to get plowed).

Because the ride height of then W212 looks lower than the previous version (there was a new one and an old one in the parking lot today), I see it's going to be an issue in the snow. But I guess it's going to snow soon, and I can see if the new one will work or not!!
