Oh wow, the M-B blindingly fanboy is upset that the F10 is taking all the buzz away from the 212 (rightfully so). ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I got more confused with the C-Class and E-Class to be honest, if you're gonna "bash" one brand for making cars that look alike, then prove your objective by doing the same for the one you're backing.
Funny thing is the designers go through great lengths to make sure ALL their size classes resemble each other, anybody who knows enough about cars should know this.

K-A who made you the resident sage of design. You are a used car lot lizzard looking for bargains. Give us a break, this forum is for new W212 shoppers and owners. You are in neither category. The BMW forum awaits you. Good luck!!!.

Who said I'm the sage of design? I only say I'm an appreciator of it, and seems like I'm the only one who can talk it without getting fussy and personally insulting someone else.
Used Car lizard huh, and you Lease your cars right? Like I said before, let's not get into "status" comparo's with each other here, be a bit more mature.

You are right. It was was an inappropriate attempt at humour. As far as leasing is concerned, it doesn't work for me. I have always bought my cars but for many on this forum, leasing is more advantageous.
One fact that will not change is your repetitive coments on the W212. We have all read your opinions ad nauseum. We get it,you do not like the the car. Telling us 100 more times will accomplish nothing. The F10 forum is made for you and I will enjoy reading your stuff there in the future.

I'll no doubt be on the F10 Forum, and I understand what you're saying about my comments, however at least I am keeping them in the proper Threads (F10 based or W211 based).

The rear is nothing to write home about, and I see your point with the Avalon tail but I think it's a slight reach, though it does look a lot like the G's tail on pics. Plus, since this is a comparison of the two cars, I think the 212 one of the biggest rear let downs on a Benz. Not only does it look far more saggy, boring and frumpy than the F10's (to name one), but appears to be a carbon copy of quite a few Japanese/Korean econ cars.

The F10's rear looks so much more perky, substantial, and sporty to me.
BTW, I kinda wish it wasn't getting the squared exhausts, always preferred round personally.

Yeah seems they're en vogue and lots love 'em. I just prefer round shapes over angular/square usually, and I think they have a better lasting effect on me, but I could live with squares, I don't think they look bad or anything.

Yup, it's pretty delusional for anyone to criticize the "other" car brand for doing something that their own precious one does exactly the same.
The C Class looks like a mini S-Class says many C buyers.
![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
People here have said the E-Class looks like a smaller S-Class (funny that those same people are "criticizing" BMW for doing the same
![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
I'll say it again, if the only bad thing the F10 has going for it by it's "opposition" is that it apparently looks too much like a 3, then it's in way better shape than the 212 was when it first surfaced, critical-ammo wise.
Again, not a bad thing, it's called "d.e.s.i.g.n l.a.n.g.u.a.g.e"

Designers intentionally design a brand to have very recognizable similarities. If they don't, then they have failed. Mfgs need consumers to recognize the brand across all classes. That's so important.
It's pretty much a basic tenet of automotive design. And it's probably the first thing you'll learn at a place like Art Center College of Design (the foremost auto design school here in Pasadena.) Actually it's really just common sense, when you think about it.

You guys want to know what I realized recently??? That my friends make fun of me cause I can tell the difference between the two BMWs and two Benzes subconsciously, like I don't even have to think, and that I can name some packages right off the bat. Lol, yyyyaaaaaaaaaaa, lol
