Hey BP,
Off topic question. What rims are those that you have on your car right now. I just purchased a set and still debating to use them as my winter set or my summer set. Are those from powerwheelspro?? Are they staggard?
Thanks.... Ohh here is the thread of my dilemma...

I am doing the exact same thing you mentioned (getting a set of winter tires and rims) so if you have any pointers, I would appreciate your thoughts. Best, Brian

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to a winter set of tires, you can go to Vassili at powerwheelspro. They have great prices of AMG style rims... Mine are 18x8 all the way around. I think I am just going to use them for the winter time.
Mud flaps wont help. They will minimize the amount of crap on your rear skirt, that's it. The trunk on any car will always be the dirtiest part. The drag behind the car creates a zone that will keep the trunk constantly sprayed with mist and in turn keeping as the dirtiest part of your car.

But the 212 has SO MUCH strong dirt on the rear area, it's crazy. I wonder if it's because of the superb aerodynamics of the car or something (one of the best of any production car ever)?

My understanding, and experience so far, is that MB brakes throw off a greasy type dust. Takes a little more effort than regular dirt to remove it during washing.
If it is brake dust, doubt mud flaps will really help.

We had a killer winter snow fall last year and I live in a very rural / hilly area of Philly, so I am going to need some good grip. Thanks again.

I put a request into Weathertech which make custom parts and I guess if enough people request it, they will design a clip on, no bolt, mud flap for our vehicles.
here is the site for the request

any assistance would be appreciated

there are a couple of little nubs down there.....but as everyone has mentioned, the rear gets filthy as hell, lol..........I can vouch for that one (black car)..........
but I would consider a mod if it was reasonable.......and looked good........
I always thought the flaps would make it look a little beefier......with the nice wide tires and all........but a couple of people I mentioned it to kind of laughed........
well, to each their own.......I think they'd look good and serve a purpose.....
