how can side mirrors fold on the E?

If you don't have power folding mirrors, you might have to push pretty hard at least for the first couple of times to get them to fold. At least on the W204 I thought it wasn't possible at first, because it needed a lot of force.

Not sure that power folding mirrors option is available for US spec. Yes, mirrors look like manually foldable, however effort to fold them seem greater than was needed for W211.

For W212 it can be done manually by the switch present on driver door panel. If you want automatic folding it can be done by programming the mirror by the dash board computer and it works all the time you remove the key and closes the door.

The power folding mirrors are a great way to visually confirm that your doors are locked - versus the guy with the Dodge that hits the lock button 17 times activating his horn.

I never thought of that. That is a great idea since my alarm is on silent mode I will only need to look at the car to confim it is locked. Finally the folding mirrors have a purpose. K-A eat your heart out...only in Canada.

I envy you Canadians with your folding mirrors and rear seat climate control.
Things that once upon a time we could get but we are no longer are given that option by MB.
