Blacked out grill installed!
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pic but it looks 100000x better in person.
Still in progress for a complete stealth look though
That silver hood badge kinda bothers me and thought about getting a black AMG or Brabus one but I didn't want to look like a badge ***** so...

what are your other stealth plans?
did you leave the orange reflectors? I'd rather have white or something...
I like that you ditched the emblem too and got the badge? again! the same thing I'd like to do to mine........
did you install?
or have it done?
I'm not sure I'd trust myself to do it well enough......might look like Mickey tried to do it

ah ha! paint......I was actually thinking of painting the lettering in the back if I couldn't find them in black, then I thought, get them in a clear version.......but black would be better.....
I too am going for the stealth/micheal knight look, lol...
are you considering a laser jammer? do you need one in your parts?

I just had a shop paint the grill black and installed it myself.
There was no DIY thread on how to swap the grill so I took my time and figured it out and it was quite easy..but I'm used to messing around with mods on my 335i coupe so it might be just me.
I got smoked reflectors and installed them myself as well back in March. I removed chrome trims on the doors too..
My other plans are; blacked out window trim, light gunsmoke film on headlights, smoked rear turn signals, and possibly 19" black rims
I kind of hardwired a radar detector (V1) and I also fully hardwired a car blackbox through fuse box under the hood.
If you need help installing the grill, shoot me a PM later on.

At the risk of showing my age, what is the purpose of all these mods on a E350? I have no idea how old you are but wouln't you be better off with a C63 or a Corvette or even a used 911. All those cars are in the same snack bracket and better suited for mods. I just don't understand doing all this stuff to a grocery getter car. The end result is you will own a car that looks like an 18 year old's Honda.
PS Don't forget the Heinz tomato juice cans for the dual exhaust!!!

lyjw88 you may be right. I'm just too old to get it. And yes, the tomato can crack was out of line.

Can't wait to see the end result.
Would love to mod mine a bit, but it's strictly a business car. So I'll have to live vicariously through you guys. More pics please.

I hate the Star grilles on M-B Sedans that were intended with the Luxury grilles (never look good to me), but that setup actually looks pretty nice. I think the dynamic face of the 212 is a bit more fit for the Sport grille, as it can give off a character of mean/sport/aggressive, and/or stately/sophisticated/luxurious.
Please post pics of the light smoke on the headlights if you do it. Any particular film you would use for that? Been thinking of doing something similar, but it would have to be VERY light, and not disturb any of the light output.

I blacked out my grill as well with a little elbow grease and paint. :-) Same for the side markers. :-)

But I haven't heard of it in the states...so I bought it when I was back in Korea over the summer and installed it myself.
I can help you getting one directly from Korea if you want
