Replacing Headlamps on the Left Side?

Does anyone know what the proper procedure is in replacing the left lights? The path to the lights is obstructed and the Mercedes Manual says "when replacing the left lights you should take it to a qualified mechanic / dealer". All of the other lights are accessable. I am hesitant to start pulling the components apart for fear of the unknown...
Thanks in advance, if anyone has already fought this battle in their own garage.

I hate to be the one to say it, but I believe the bumper might have to be removed to do it.

Not 100% though. I know on my CHEVY, the whole damn bumper has to be removed to replace the bulbs as well.

I assume that you mean the assembly rather than the individual bulb. In that case, the front bumper has to be removed to access the bottom bolt on the left side.

YMMV

Just going for the bulb. Unfortunately the left bulb access is completely obstructed on the Left Lamp. Looks to me that you have to yank open the Left front fender liner in the tire well to gain access.

Right Hi-Beam Lamp Accessible
Right Regular Lamp Accessible
Left Hi-Beam Lamp Accessible
Left Regular Lamp NOT Accessible

Sorry that I misinterpretted the question. I have bi-xenon lights so I can't change them myself anyway. My guess is to pull the fender liner to gain access.

O/T, but what is the process for changing the Bi-Xenon's. This is something I wouldn't even attempt to do on my own anyway, but I don't even know what's required.

I don't know what the procedure is because the manual says to have the dealer or an experienced technician change them out.

I have the Bi-Xenon headlights and left bulb is on its what out. It flickers off and on at times is blue in color compared to the right which is pure white. From research it seems you have to removed the fender liner to access the bulb which I have no problem doing. Manual sates to have a technician do it, is this because of the fender liner removal?? Is there some type of special procedure or requirements to change the bulb? This is my first set of bi-xenon or xenon bulbs i've only ever had halogen bulbs before.

you can remove left front tire then remove front inner fender liner, headlight will then be accessible to change either the two H-7's or the one Xenon bulb

The headlight assembly needs the front bumper removed to replace, bulb changes can be accomplished by removing the front inner fender liner,

Did this recently. I was surprisingly painless and fast.
