Your Driving Habits
been dreaming of myself in my car.........
Was wondering how many drivers changed their driving habits after getting a new Benz? you know, more conservative......taking fewer chances, avoiding less pot hole run ins.....
easing up on the gas pedal etc...OR
maybe driving faster, taking curves with less precaution.....spinning tires out at every get go.....having a little more fun than a 'regular' car would permit...and geez, why shouldn't you??

how about other drivers?? do you recieve different treatment on or off the roads because of your MB? for instance, more friendly waves, or allowances of the right of way by other cars?
Just wondering, any story or thought is welcome........

I feel for you, waiting sux.Personally my Lexus rattled over the slightest bumps and road imperfections but now there is nothing but silence so I no longer go out of my way to avoid minor bumps and rough pavement. I still make sure to miss the big ones but that's only common sense!

. Some days the luxury and comfort make me just chill, other days I have to light it up a little...it is a luxury sport sedan after all. I'm trying very hard not to trade my wonderful 2009 E350/Sport for a 2010 E550/Sport, I have this problem, I used to need a new car every 2 years, now it seems down to 18 months! It's worse then getting married and divorced. I would need a 20 car garage if I won the lotto.

This is literally in immediate timing regarding when I started earning enough from my labor to enjoy some "fruits".

I always do feel and wish that I will own one (or more) car/s for a long time though, sounds more romantic. Reality has proven differently recently. We'll see.

But I drove it right to Vegas when I got it (under 50 miles).

I kind of went rogue on myself there.
I feel for you, waiting sux.reckrab
MAN! you have no idea.....I'm driving my 01 s40, and it's driving ME nuts.........and plus, yeah, dropped a 60K down payment down, and now I WANNA DRIVE IT....lol...
My 2008 required a significant press down on the gas to get it going, thus I found myself revving high, accelerating harder, etc.
This thing is like driving a land yacht. Smooth, smooth shifting, quiet inside so I have inadvertently been driving more smoothly, less aggressive and more relaxed.
I truly love this car.
On most roads, it seems like that, but on certain roads, I can almost feel the roughness on my right foot - not in a bad way, but thats how much the car is in touch with the road, I guess.

Biggest change is that I tend to be careful where I park it in parking lots and on streets. Next to nice cars or by itself if possible and away from the storage area for shopping buggies.
Also tend to be careful when near certain types of vehicles on the highway. Trucks with a lot of crap or trailers with equipment on them, cement trucks, trash trucks, etc. Either pass them quickly or fall back.
Last car I had got lots of little cement particles on it and never knew it because they blended with paint so well. By the time I discovered it, entire side of car had to repainted. Cement/concrete actually becomes a part of the paint when it dries.
does anyone know what the Blue Effeciency edition means on the gasoline engines over there? Are they the same as the models offered here in the states?
Breathtaking on all levels.

Life is a trade off.
