First Gripe - 5 passenger my b*tt!

No problems here. Did one of your passengers complain or were you sitting b!tch in your own car? The drive axle hump seems just as normal as any other car to me. I just want my Rear Climate control from my W211 days back.

I just happened to notice it last night and got in the back seat to see what it was like. There is no way I could sit in that middle spot without having to straddle one foot to either side of the hump.

lol, is this your first car? Have you been driving SUVs or something? That hump is the reason nobody likes sitting in the middle... well one of the reasons. Welcome to the car world, enjoy!

For hauling more people comfortably better to take FWD car. I have owned Chrysler LHS, it had almost zero hump (guess a bit for exhaust system), so I could drive 6 persons comfortably anytime.

These cars are designed as four passenger cars. The fifth passenger space in the rear is for a short drive certainly not for a long trip. This applies to all RWD sedans. If you need comfort for five you are best to look at the SUV or a FWD vehicle.

Is any car really a 5 passenger?
Even without the transmission is today's cars, there is the exhause and all sorts of things that probably run through the "tunnel."
