Can someone confirm this issue for me.
I have never had this issue in other branded cars I drove. Their advice was to never fully turn my steering wheel either side as this can lead to power steering pump failure as doing so can apply undue stress on the pump.
Can someone verify this for me and see if your cars have the same whine? Let me know.
Thanks guys!
perhaps there is some validity......time will tell eh? hope all is well!.........
have faith in the car gods to watch over your new car! LOL........(not a religious nut)
But I guess I would also understand the occurrence to be unaccommodating.......I too will have a watchful eye when my car arrives.....yes, less than thirty days......that gives me thirty days to 1) build a new driveway 2) get a nice car port and 3) eradicate all squirrels (joke)
also I'd add my appreciation of the bashing head people, that is one of favorites.....
happy trails
This advice applies to all cars with power steering. It's probably in the owner's manual somewhere.

On another note, thanks for making me feel better with all the affirmation that this is normal and I will try my best not to turn the wheel all the way. In Mass a lot of major streets have concrete or barrier dividers so there are times where we need to make some U-turns and its hard not to turn the wheel all the way to one side.
