Actually I believe it has a hint of blue. Have it on my ML550 and it appears different in different lighting.
Yes, I LOVE that color as it really is not just a gray but has other shades (blue/green) in it. There was just one car on the lot when I ordered and was hoping to see some other pictures of it.
Any pics would be appreciated? Does it have a hint of green in it??
Thank you.
When I got mine there was Steel Grey in the lot which definitely had Blue in it, not green. I got the "Indium Grey" which is what you might be thinking of - which is definitely more green.

You might be right. I LOVE the STeely gray.....they should have called it Steel Blue as it does look much more blue than I had expected.
I have Steel Gray and don't see any green in it. There are hints of blue in certain lighting, but most of the time it just looks like a nice gray. I am very happy with it.
Does not look like steel gray. Steel gray does have hints of blue in it but very little blue. The color is gray all the way. I had steel gray on my 2008 CLK 350 convertible. It is a very nice color. I currently have Capri blue on my 2010 E350 4matic sport.

I can assure that the pictures he posted are Steel Grey, since they are my pictures haha
I have had my Steel Grey E550 since July and I can tell you there is no green whatsoever in the color but there is definitely blue and even some purple in some lights. It's a very nice color, and in bright sunlight it sometimes looks like designo Graphite. Here are several pictures I have taken under different lighting conditions, sorry for all the pictures, I got carried away. Keep in mind the camera affects the way the color shows up too, you really should take a look in person at a Steel Grey car.

When I bought my "previously tested" (AKA "lease returned") E550 coupe, I thought it was steel grey. Until I got a copy of the data card with code "041U" - Designo Green Graphite Paintwork.
No way, me thinks. So I go out to the garage and look closely at the paint. Yeah, hard to see but, yes there is a hint of green:
