Anyone use USAA pricing? Invoice plus $650 - $2,000 rebate!
Just found out about this after I ordered my car and set a price.
This is about a $3,000 difference! Eventhough I put $1,000 down it would be still a better deal to cancel that deal and lose my down payment. I am so mad at my dealer for not telling me about the USAA pricing. He knew I had USAA when in gave insurance card to test drive.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Zinny

If you haven’t taken delivery of the car then it’s not too late. Not every dealer is a part of the program so that may be the reason why the dealer didn’t mention it. Also he may not even know about it. I have used it four times now and the dealer’s reaction is always "what? What is that?" You have to speak to someone from the dealer’s internet department and they will clue your dealer into what has to happen. All the paperwork is taken care of on the day of delivery.
If the dealership is a part of the program then you can still save the $2000. IF they are not then you could lose the $1000 you put down and go save $2000 at a dealership that is a part of the program and net yourself a $1000 savings.
OR...
If the dealership is not a part of the program tell you sales manager that you could save $2000 at another dealership and I bet he will match the price without the USAA discount.

Deal with USAA, not your dealer

It is more a deal with USAA than with your dealer so not surprised he didn't say anything. Actually you could be better off because now if you go to the USAA website and print out the "coupon," you may save more money.
It is not a flat $2,000 off "best price;" it is a set price which is supposed to be $2,000 off. Different dealers will do better though. And you are supposed to go to USAA first and then get referred to a dealer.
As salesmanager explained to me-the discount comes from M-B and not the dealership or USAA. In fact, USAA gets a commission on the sale.

Yes! I have always played around with the USAA/ZAG car pricing thing, its sometimes at invoice or even less on some other model cars!
i have never bought a brand new car, but if i did i would use this.

Either way, I continue to LOVE USAA! This deal is a good $3,000 below what I had been able to get from my salesman.
