Biggest surprise of your w212.........?
and of course the POWER......
it would be cool to be able to use the rear view camera as a rear view while driving....
stereo is nice, I like the auto window and roof opening and closing too....
night view is fun....
very in awe........
4) totally minor but a pet peeve nonetheless - silver PLASTIC tire valve caps...really $68k and you make the caps out of plastic. It was terrible that those nice hex shaped brushed aluminum valve caps from the loaner lexus I had for a few days fell off when the car was in my driveway...it'd be a shame to throw them away so I used them.

J.Mo- Agree with your comments. My Ipod- does get charged while driving, check yours out again? Found very inexpensive Valve Caps that I am very happy with...check these out for an alternative.

However, I totally agree about the rearview camera. Sometimes when a car creeps up really close to my rear bumper, I have this natural tendency to want to turn the rear camera "on" to see how close they are. I'd put it in reverse, but that might not be too smart.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
their always on! but they are easy to turn off......
with that said, the new lights next year don't really bother me....mine are bright as hell
already.....couldn't imagine I'd need them brighter....
that's interesting about the plastic valve caps too......I wonder how many people are aware of potential damage with metal caps..........
I am the only one that drives my E550 and I have three settings for me and I change then depending on my mood. I have my (1) normal, my (2) laid back, and my (3) sport. I change them on the fly not just when I enter the car.
Also when my daughter is with me she fiddles around the back seat while getting in, I would hate to press that button and something happen to her and my reaction be too slow, you cant get any faster than just releasing the button while you still have your hand on it. Yes we all know that we should take precaution when it come to kids but sometimes ***** happens but the less chance of ***** happening to my daughter the better.
Also on the seat memory thing...agree it is a safety feature, but the "other" way to go would be to have the seat memory buttons disabled once the vehicle is in drive, but in park it could work as a one touch feature instead of a hold the button down feature. Also keys linked ot memory settings would be nice too, but I didn't find the need for them when I had them on my Lex.
also have a movie watching setting, LOL.....
some of those factory setting are pretty comfortable.....it takes me FOREVER
to get a position I like, lol......
never had a car with memory seats.......kind of silly, but it's nice..
too bad it doesn't scratch the twins for you too.....

Not sure about aluminum, but metal caps tend to rust/corode and can be quite difficult to get off. While many people will check TP often, with the dash read-out, most will never check the TP. Therefore caps will corode.
love:
-power of the E550
-comfort on long trips
-power of the E550
-voice recognition (seems to work VERY well for me)
-car drives smaller than it actually is
-and finally, power of the E550
don't love:
-steering could be more 'precise' with more progressive feedback
-paddle shifters need to have a true manual mode
-shifting needs to be faster (<500ms) in sport mode
-need to have another level of sport mode that is firmer, perhaps lowers even more (advantage of the suspension is that it COULD lower more)
-iPod integration in the glove box- why not the center where the driver can reach it easily?

Biggest disappointment is I do not have a heated steering wheel in my car. I will definitely miss this on cold mornings.

Go figure...
