Cool/Useful features that I didn't know about

It will not go to park if you just open the door! You have to hit that start/stop button for it to do that.
When your foot is on the brake and the transmission is in "Drive" once you open the drivers side door the tranny automatically shifts into "Park." Try it it, I can assure you that mine does exactly as I stated.

My 2010 will allow you to move the car in "D", but it will put the car in "P" if I turn it off, which is the perfect way that the feature should work.

Well, I tried this exact thing three days ago and my car did not go to P when I opened the door. I'll try it again.

I very regularly move my car with door open when parking it at tight airport parking stalls to see the lines where car must fit between. Not once has the car shifted to park automatically when I open the door. It does it when I turn the car off and door is open or opened.

Same goes for the 'Radio' button. It will toggle thru AM, FM, and so forth.
It seems it doesn't work for several owners and I have no idea why it works on mine but I use it several times a day. Btw, I have a 2011 as well, I just picked her up this past Saturday.
Easy enough to push the radio button again or use the linguatronic but it seems to have this little foible.

In D, if I turn the car off, it goes into N, then after opening the door, it goes into P.
I need to check this but maybe someone can verify. Does the front passenger seat move forward when you fold the passenger rear seat forward? I mean it doesn't necessarily need to but thought it did.
If you start the car, put it in drive, and open the door it will not shift to park. Even if you move it, stop, and open the door it will not shift to park.
I think it may have to do with the speed but I would have to test it. I think once you get to the speed where the doors lock if you come to a stop and open the door it will shift to park. Or maybe it depends on distance like I mentioned before. I dont have my car with me but once I get it back I will be happy to experiment and report.
Here is the situation. With Keyles go feature:
1. You put the key inside the car or give it to the operator
2. The operator drives it to the carwash line/ track and put it in neutral and turn off the engine by pressing the start/stop button.
3. The gear will still in N until he opens the door and it automatically change to P
Guess what.... your car will lock in the track and make everybody panic.
The operator will have to stop the machine and go inside the car and turn the engine ON and ride with the car while the gear is in Neutral.
Solution:
Before entering the full service carwash:
1. Turn the engine off.
2. Remove the cap and put the key in.
3. Turn the engine ON.
With the key in, when the gear is selected in Neutral, it always stays in Neutral even when the engine is OFF and the operator walk out from the car (just like regular car)
Note: I will also change to the regular key fob when doing valet parking. This is to reduce the complexity of knowing how to start or kill the engine.
