Here is the situation. With Keyles go feature:
1. You put the key inside the car or give it to the operator
2. The operator drives it to the carwash line/ track and put it in neutral and turn off the engine by pressing the start/stop button.
3. The gear will still in N until he opens the door and it automatically change to P

Guess what.... your car will lock in the track and make everybody panic.
The operator will have to stop the machine and go inside the car and turn the engine ON and ride with the car while the gear is in Neutral.

Solution:
Before entering the full service carwash:
1. Turn the engine off.
2. Remove the cap and put the key in.
3. Turn the engine ON.
With the key in, when the gear is selected in Neutral, it always stays in Neutral even when the engine is OFF and the operator walk out from the car (just like regular car)

Note: I will also change to the regular key fob when doing valet parking. This is to reduce the complexity of knowing how to start or kill the engine.

What you explain above is explained in the manual that you have to do if the car is being towed also.

OMG, you are so condescending. lol
You do realize that "keyless go" come in Nissans, Fords, and almost every vehicle out there today. Your "Mercedes Keyless Go" is not complex. lol

Westwind....thank you!! I cant believe i missed this...hahaha. I am too occupied with the screen and forgot about the old-faithful buttons.
New enlightenment for me....

Not sure if this should be under some "performance" thread or something but I noticed that my car (2011 E350 gasoline) seems to take of significantly faster from a stop if I do it from HOLD, i.e. when I set brakes to HOLD at full stop and then want to make a quick sprint it seems a lot faster than when going from holding brake pedal and then to gas.

I'm not talking about the less reaction time between not needing to move the foot, I mean as soon as I press the gas pedal it seems the car responds with more power...?

Yup, it sure does. One time with our 2008 we were packing to go on vacation and I put the seat backs down to make it easier to get to the back of the trunk. The front seats moved forward to provide clearance for the back seat backs.

When I was finished, I put the seat backs up and tried to move the front seats back. I simply could not get the passenger seat to move. It was July in Arizona and after an hour trying to solve the problem I was soaking with sweat. I finally realized that although the seat back was up, it had not fully latched.

One tricky thing about the seats moving forward is that in the event you want to leave the fold down seats down, you won't be able to move the front seats back. What we have to do with the 2008 is have a person operate the front seat switch while it's moving forward and stop it before it goes too far.

Who do you think invented that feature? It sure wasn't GM or the Japanese.

I know....I know this thing is not complex but I had to go to 2 fine dining places last month for a valet parking, one could not figured out where to put the key in and the other on how to start the engine..... it sounds too simple but I literally had to explain the process and took me the last one to get my car delivered... My wife was laughing at me for having too much gadget. I gave up and put the car key in when having somebody drive this thing....

Exactly. Why "criticize" M-B with a "not so innovative" comment when they clearly were ahead of the pack with adopting this feature. What are they supposed to do, not use it anymore, or make the car fly when you tap the stalk now?

I had to adjust clock manually. I thought I'd look up the manual if there is a way to set it so that it does it automatically for me in the future. Bummer.

But did you notice that (in this case) you can push up on the Comand knob to move up in 30-minute increments? In fall, you pull back on the knob to move down in 30-minute increments. I have no clue why 30-minute increments instead of an hour, which just proves I am not a genius German engineer.

I just enjoyed watching the clock spin around by itself haha.

There are +/- N.5 hour timezones. Eastern Newfoundland in Canada operates on GMT -3.5

I would bet that that this was developed by a German car company. This is a huge feature at autobahn speeds. 3 blinks are plenty of time at 120 MPH. At our speeds more blinks would be better IMO.

The cornering light lights up on right side when when you turn right going slow in dark and left when turning left. The lights reverse when you are moving reverse, i.e. when reversing and turning the wheel left the right side cornering light comes on. It always shows on side where the front of the car moves. Kind of cool.

When in the "M" transmission shift selection, the speedometer display changes from white to red when you approach the red line. Pretty cool.
