Cool/Useful features that I didn't know about

In the centre armrest storage compartment, one of the flaps has a "PEN HOLDER".
Now I'm just wondering if any of your cars came with a Mercedes pen or do we supply our own little Bic pencils... LOL
Come on... I can't be the only one that has been finding neat little features!!! Chime in!!

Agreed! I hate using blinkers (bad habit), and this is fit for me perfectly.
Yeah that's part of the P2 Package, and I too learned that no more than a couple months or so ago. And I do the same thing! Lol. I don't know how else the thing could be useful (unless you forget to activate the motor to close it when you're actually standing back there)?
Ah, so that's why the Leather cars come with headrests with a "bar" thing in the middle. I take it this is in fact only a feature with Leather equipped cars?
In general here in U.S. it might seem unnecessary function to be able to close trunc from the button on the driver's door but it has it's purpose when crossing borders between countries. In Europe this happens between EU countries and others, here between U.S. and Canada or Mexico.
At border crossing, if you are not required to step out of the car, they still often ask you to open the trunk for inspection. You can tell them not to slam it shut as you don't want them to scratch painting and to it from the button on the door inside. Telling them to use the button on the trunk lid may be too complicated.

Seems like it is programmed to reverse the trip if you make a U-turn and start heading back to where you started the trip, like if you forgot something and have to go back to get it...? Not sure if this is practical but this is what it did.
Usually, with M-B Navs, I've found that if there's a detour, they are TERRIBLE at figuring that out, as they constantly try and take you back toward the original route, until you get so far off the original path, that it has no choice but to recalculate.
They're really not the same thing. First off, slamming the gas is a bit more erratic, as it takes a second to downshift, then accelerates at full speed, when you let off the gas, it upshifts, so if you need to go again, then you have to do the whole process over. It's "messier", and wastes more gas I'm sure as well. If you need to "prepare" for a speed burst, you can downshift in the optimal gear by holding the paddle, and then accelerate as you choose (maybe you don't want to go WOT, but you want the optimal power at your fingertips, in case you want to do so), also, you don't have to deal with it shifting up, if you need to let off, and then hit it again.
ex: all the comedy on one dial......even though there are only a few
it's still cool to be able to cycle through them without having to go through
them all......

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

it's as green as they get, but it's concealed pretty well.....from the 'open trunk'
view.....
Just so you know, every recent car with a trunk must have such a release (don't want you to think you can kidnap somebody with a Ford or something).

I'm not sure what prompted the rule.
