Thank you. I'm an engineer, so I'm a little slow.

If I understand this correctly, the Mid City component is installed and configured first, then additional Compu Star modules can be added for long range fobs or a smart phone interface. These companies work together to make the complete system?

I ask because none of the dealers seem to show anything from Mid City. (At this time I don't want the additional remotes or phone module.)

Yes... the Mid City Engineering (Smart Key Starter) unit is installed first and works on it's own through the factory key fob and will only work if you are within the range of the key fob. The Compustar unit is optional if you want to be able to start and stop, lock and unlock your car from ranges farther away than your key fob can control. The Compustar unit also does many other things you might find useful. Hope this helps.

By the way, there's nothing to configure on the Midcity remote starter unit, it's plug amd play.

It is plug and play. The new version of this unit does come with options you can control through the steering wheel. See below:

For the computation/drone app, anyone figure out if it is possible to add something to the aux functions like lowering and raising the Windows? The open trunk works for me by default.

Thanks

I spoke with Mid City and their unit does not have any auxiliary functions with the drone module. Their newer unit will automatically turn on the rear defrost and seat heaters when it's cold. It would be nice to have the unit lower the windows a bit and crack open the sunroof when the temperature is high enough.
