after your trial(6 months) is over you'll need to shell out 280 per year, and if you want the PLUS business, another 20 per month, (or 240 a year)
that's in addition to the regular 280 annual payment
HA, what a crock of waste......IMO mind you......
who really needs mbrace huh??
Locked your keys in your car?? you're a dolt.....
FORGET to lock your car?? you're an even bigger dolt!
LOL......
I really feel like your money could be better spent......
of course flipping your car or getting in a serious accident
is the ONLY reason I can think of to even consider needing this feature....
but then again, there are so many people out there that if you do 'wreak yo'self', someone will be on they're cell reporting it, no doubt.....
but if you're a worry wort, it may be for you.....
if you DON'T plan ahead and think rationally, this might be for you....
if you're a terrible driver with too many accidents to count, this may be for you.........
But for the un-average good driver like myself, I think it's just another gaping insurance hole for me to drop my hard earned money into........
I know it does work for some, but for me..........LOL
again, just MO
thanx

After playing with mbrace I think I'll get it. I did not use them for the unfortunate flat I got recently (pothole) and had changed the wheel myself in 20 mins. The coolest feature of mbrace is to send an address from google map (pc, mac, iPad, etc) to the car so that you don't need to type the address in. Other features are ok and some just to impress (like finding your car or remote locking from iPhone).

You will find step by step instructions from the mbrace web site. You must have an account so just log and look for the manual.

I have mbrace because my time is valuable and it has convenience features that are useful and make life easier when I am rushed. Do I need it? Hell no. Is it overpriced? What at Mercedes isn't. I could also argue i don't need a 382hp v8, a 7 speed transmission, radar cruise control or drive dynamic seats. Nice to have them though.
This just does not make sense.
Why would anyone shell out the dough to buy a Mercedes, and then quibble about the price of MBrace? I love Mercedes, and I love MBrace. "Your world from your car." :-)

If my wife survives me, I told her to get MBrace. It offers some level of security if she has a problem. In other words, she can call for assistance without having to phone Mercedes, the cops, a tow truck, etc.
She also doesn't have to describe where she's at.
I liked the feature for emailing Google Maps to the car but we no longer take long driving vacations so I don't need that anymore.

Im in the trail period now and while I like the Send2Benz feature from the iPhone app to send an address directly to the navigation, that is the only thing I've used. I don't know if paying the monthly fee is worth it for just that.
what are the most useful features of mbrace, i have the trial still going for the 6 month session
( i think thats the one i signed up for )
i havent found it useful yet....what do u guys use it for.
also does the subscription renew it self by it self or will it just cancel by itself at 6 mos

With roadside assistance in your phone book memory what do you need MBrace for? It's a waste of money. Don't tell me you are alone, unconscious on a dark road 500' in the bush and no one will ever find you. That only applies to drunks that live in the country and drive home after 3:00AM. If that's you buy it,you need it.
