As you know anything you do specially after market product can void your warranty. Thats why there is a feature called passive/ invisible mode. You can turn the module off complete by an key sequence. When you visit the dealer you can simply turn it off so your warranty is not void.

Does this enable you to watch DVD's in the car while driving? How easy to install?

How tempting this is.... But is it worth what I know will be life threatening situations, hmm.

I recomemnd not getting this module if you cant control viewing DVD while driving... with that said, if you can control yourself it is good module when you go out for long drive for your passanger.

As you knew, there is huge difference between having a video player inside of the vehicle and not. Especially if you have younger kids. Very temptation but hate to do open surgery after reading installation instruction.

Yeah...I cant see the point of it unless for passengers. Although at least you have a fighting chance with distronic and the closing distance warning (I forget the formal name...should be savedmybutttronic). Ive been guilty of sneaking a glance at my blackberry and that system has saved my A%%.

I put the Euro Comand unit in my 211 which has the DVD drive and you can play movies. Works great for trips and what not. Kids could watch video from the back seat. I put the video system in the 212 but my wife might like to watch a movie up front.

Many oversea luxury brand vehicles provide T.V while you driving but not in the states. They remove those features before they ship to the states. Frankly, that is for rear seat passenger not for front passenger or driver. However, that is a good feature to watch live T.V. news, shows if you have a driver.

I don't know, maybe Americans are more irresponsible, or are much worse drivers, etc. But if this isn't a problem in EU, it would certainly be in the U.S.

With the idiocy of Texting, calling (guilty here on many occasions) while driving, people have lost lives, had damaged cars, insurance rates go up, etc. etc. etc. etc.

If the U.S allowed watching movies to be allowed, whilst driving, it would be the end of us all.

Is this product plug and play?? Also since it allows you to play DVD while driving, will it enable entering navigation address while driving??? They seem to go hand and hand... well at least for the midcity engineering unit it does....
