had the same issue before with BT audio streaming and phone calls. make sure to turn off your wi-fi connection on your iphone. when it is turned on, i think the phone periodically searches for new networks which causes audio lapses both for BT music streaming and phone calls. hope this helps!

I haven't tried the BT Audio streaming (on my 2010E) yet. How is the audio quality thru BT?
BTW, I don't even remember seeing 3G signal on my iPhone 4, so forget about 4G signal.

Looks like 2011E enables the BT Audio automatically when the iPhone is paired unlike 2010E requires drill down to Engg Menu (which I haven't tried).
Sounds fantastic on my 2010 w212! Even sounds better than the sirius satellite radio I hardly ever use due to frequent drop outs. The only problem with the BT is having to re- pair everytime you restart the car.(only takes about 20 secs but still...).
I agree with the sound quality comment. To my untrained ears it sounds great. Luckily, I do not have the re-pairing issue but with my iPhone 4 it's frustrating that the titles don't show on the Comand screen. I paired my friends Droid and it shows title and you're able to change tracks with the buttons on the steering wheel.
