This is awesome. Coolest part to me, is in the beginning, when viewing the bare bones of this car, you connect a visual to the most advanced, rigid, and strongest body shell available today (even Awarded).

When you watch a video demonstrating the efficiencies of assembly line mass production like this, it's easy to understand why low production Italian sports cars are so expensive.

BTW, do you have any links or information regarding the award you reference. Would like to see.

Thanks,

Great vid...the coolest part to me was the robotic arm reaching through the window to install the dash. (music got a little tiring)

Agreed! I showed that to my GF. It looks face/CFI or something!

Glad you guys are digging the Video!

BenzE350:

I've done some research on car safety cells and "bone materials", and even before reading about this Award, I came to the conclusion that the W212 is the most advanced and strongest. It uses the highest % amount of High Strength Steels throughout the shell (a staggering 75%) of all time (on a car), and uses the stiffest and most advanced steel materials available during the time of its creation (Ultra High Strength Steels, and even "MEGA" High Strength Steels). Not to mention, M-B's usual obsessive attention to being ahead of the game VS the car world when it comes to Passive & Active Safety, especially with their E-Classes.

Here's the Award:
