Thanks Diesel #2 for that. SO I went ahead and found this on another forum after a quick google search. Really good explanation and video of rotary/flow forming wheels

Can't the offset won't work with the LM's beyond 19x9. Offset for 19x9 is 42 whereas the 19x9.5 is 32 which is way to wide. I use 255x35x19 front and 285x30x19 rears, which is plenty wide for my purposes. Although my tires are staggered, they are within .02 diameter of each other which is fine for a 4matic

I'm looking to buy new wheels , 18x8.5 245/40/18 all around since I have a 4MATIC. I

The wheels I am buying have a choice of 35 or 45 offset. Which offset will work? I would think 45 since the OEM wheels for my car have 48 offset. Will 35 all around also work?

This is true.

One correction, Vossen does make flow-formed wheels (VFS-1/2/4/5/6/10) which has been renamed a bunch of different things (rotary forged etc). The process does make a better wheel and it is not as simple as cast.

Also our entry level line is low pressure cast which is better made than just a cast wheel.

My car is the shop and finally deciding what rims to put on today. Heading over there as soon as I get off. I'm stuck between these two (Hopefully my shop has no issue getting either 1 of these)

Enkei Racing Series.
The are only 600 a wheel but they are out of stock everywhere we've tried and on back order. So I'm leaning towards BBS CH Black or BBS CH-R Black w/ Polished Lip.

The BBS pictured above is BBS XA and are the cheapest of all the options I'm leaning towards. My insurance is pretty much paying for whatever one I get so I'm staying within the parameters they've provided which is 3k for the set. I honestly would not even want to spend that much if it was my own money.

I don't get it. If the insurance is putting up the brunt of the money why are you leaning towards the cheaper wheels. You already paid $1000 in deductible right ? While you have this opportunity, get the best wheels possible. Whether you get BBS, Vossen, Vertini or HRE the cost to you is the same. Is there is a limit as to what the insurance company will spend on the wheels ?

Whatever you do [as your cyber friend lol] please do not get those hideous BBS, especially in 18s. It will make your gorgeous w212 look inadequate. Also, If you want 18s, i would highly recommend that you search more towards silver or titanium finishes.

You're very welcome. Glad to see a fellow member (and a cool guy) enjoying the springs. The car looks dope now. Some spacers up front and your all set

Let me know if you need some help with wheels / tires / spacers or what not, ill refer you to my friends shop in Hollywood. Just call me before you go and ill make sure you get a nice price.
