New LED Replacement Side Marker and Parking Lights
I swapped out the standard W5W Light bulbs in the front housing and on side markers with 5000k LED "non error" lights. If you have retrofitted your P1 package with after markert Xenons...I highly recommend it.
Now, all my lights; Side Marker, Parking, Regular Beam and Hockey Stick LED are all the same color temperture. Looks awesome. I will post better pictures tomorrow. Tonights are going to be a little misleading as the camera I used, overexposed the night time shot and the light looks overexposed and "blooming". After 4 searches, I finally found a vendor that has the correct 5000k LED's...the other were all blueish 6-7000k. Install was relativley easy, and I did not recieve one error code. Good luck.

Looks great.
I went w/ the 6k instead of the 5k but basically looks the same except for my painted sidemarkers.
I actually like the P1 w/ upgrades to the HIDs more than the factory xenon in the p2 package.

Here is the info from the vendor I bought them from. I will post more pictures tonight. As I said earlier I am very happy with them. Note: I believe he offers them in two different color tempertures. Enjoy,
B.

Here are some other pictures...for comparison. Man, that OEM light with the clear side marker lens looked fugly compared to the new LED ones. Marked improvement IMO.

Just wanted to let you guys know...my dealer told me today they wouldnt be able to pass PA Inspection because the covers are not the OEM Orange ones... He said MB couldnt do it because of it not being OEM, but that most other Inspection garages would probably overlook it. I'm not worried, just wanted to pass it on...

This is true with all clear sidemarkers, but just keep your OEM ones and swap em out if you need any sort of inspection. That or just get some orange vinyl and quick wrap em just for inspection.

I just put in the clear sidemarkers myself and put in the chrome painted orange bulbs... I like these LED's might pick up a set myself.
I did want to make a suggestion now that the side markers have been brought up again. I read a couple How-To's here on mbworld, and just want propose an alternative. Everywhere I read people are saying to give the wheel-well a firm tub and "yank" the clips out, taking a chance on breaking one or two. I found by using a scribe i was able to pull out the clip centers and the clip outers pulled right out with my fingers. Just wanted to pass that info on, since the thought of yanking on my wheel wells made me cringe.

AZN Optics. I bought a set of the 5k parking light bulbs. However they are slightly bluer than my hockey sticks and main headlight. It is very noticeable.
The main headlight is a 5k set from Morimoto and they match exactly to the sticks.
Thoughts?

5000K is a pure white and our calibration testing allows for less than a percent variance from that temp range spec. HIDs are a kelvin range and Morimoto does do a very good job having a more narrow range being a top line unit, there is a bit more fluctuation compared to LEDs. PM me your order transaction id or payment email address and I'll look up your record to confirm you do have 5000K.
