MB of Manhattan Lease deal

I went to MB of manhattan to have my car serviced on friday and I saw my sales guy who told me MB of Manhattan is taking in early leases.

Now, I have only had my lease for exactly a year now and he's telling me he can get me into a 2011. I'm not ready to change so early but I entertained him and listened to his deal. Check out the ludicris deal he tried to get me into...

2011 E-350 P1 4matic rear spilt seats, rear spoiler

33 month lease, 7500 miles per year, total due at signing $2626.00including the first month and all inceptions).
$609.75 + taxes $42.63 (autopay is required, got a rate discount for you).

If you score best credit tier, which is A1 I'll be able to enhance it. I usually never mention that, because it happens not that often

Now My deal was 12K a year, 1900.00 due at signing, 599.99 per month
tax included. 39months. 2010 E350 4matic P1

There is no difference in the car other than the LED lights and the spilt rear seats which I couldnt give a F*** about... I bought my own spoiler and installed it myself for less then 200.00

How stupid do they think people are to accept such a deal? What do you guys think?

Never go to MB of Manhattan.....

It's obviously pointless for you. The deal you have on your 2010 is pretty incredible. I can't believe M-B ***** these cars out for so cheap, this explains why residuals and resales are such CRAP!!

Anyway, the new deal sounds okay on its own I think, but it would be a rip off for you.

Maybe if you can work in a P2 car with Options at that price, I can see the incentive to upgrade more-so.

Stay away from MB of Manhattan. I got one car from then and the buying experience was good but when it came to servicing it was nothing but grief.

I can't agree with you. I was using them for service before and can't complain. 5 days ago I bought brand new car from them - they gave me the deal no one could even come close in NY Metro area. BTW - MB of Manhattan is the only dealership in USA, which belongs to MB...everybody else is just a franchise.

MB has huge promotion right now for E class Bluetec. You may get it for 24 months, 7500K miles a year, P1 for about $380-$400. Crazy deal.

I don't get why your saying its a bad deal... You get out of your lease over 2 years earlier... That's $15,000 that they are eating. That deal is amazing, it is similar to what I paid for my w204 c-class...

Glad to hear they got their act together but I still have a bad taste in my mouth from them. That deal on the E is pretty crazy. And congrats on your new GL; saw the pix and it looks sharp !

Its not really not worth it to me at this point. Maybe its a good deal overall on the car itself but for me its not... If it were a P2 with more options then thats cool.

Getting out of my lease early isnt a big deal for me. I got a sweet deal because of the loyalty program and fleet program that I qualify for. that plus I got him to lower the sale price before I told him about the programs.

My previous lease on my W211 was even better than my W212 lease.

MB manhattan service wasnt the greatest either. They tried to charge me for the command update that I've seen other members in the forum get free.
I spoke to Larchmont MB and they will do it free.

Maybe it depends on who you deal with there but overall from my experience and what I saw and heard others go through there I will probably stay away.

The lease is not bad except for the low mileage, 7500 miles per year. That is 625 miles per month. If you drive a lot you will be paying for the extra miles, ouch!

..
Why would you want to cough up $2600 and cut your annual mileage from 12,000 to 7,500?

It's a terrible deal.

The dealer is not "eating" $15,000. They are getting the leased car back 2 years early - and therfore can sell it for more.

The new lease would require an additional $2,600 upfront cash.

The new lease reduces the annual mileage from 12,000 to 7,500.

Get the new car scent out of your nostrils because it is effecting your brain from rational thought.

The deal is not bad but is pointless for you since both cars are the same except for the model year. You would be simply ****##g in the wind.

+1, how could any dealer think one would give up the current deal for the new deal - pay $50 more each month and get 40% less miles a year for essentially the exact same car + additional out of pocket lease inception fees. If my dealer or sales guy offered this to me, I would never go back there again.

Exactly my point Park423.. The dealer will sell the car for more money as a CPO and then got more of my money... I think not and I'm going elsewhere for service and lease return.

I like others on this thread have purchased new cars from MB Manhattan and have gotten what I would consider a great deal on my 1st purchase 05 CLK and a better than average deal on my current ride E550A. Tried several area dealers on my current ride and MB Manhattan gave me my best deal which was $750 less then nearest competitor.

As far as service stay far away. These guys seem to get the lowest of the low when it comes to mechanics and car jockeys. Gave them 3 tries for service on my CLK and they struck out every time. 1st service (A) they returned my car with scratches on the driver door. 2nd service (B) I used their delivery service and car was returned with dirt/sweat all over the interior (stone). 3rd service had iPod interface installed which was actually done well but passenger seat had grease and grime film on seat and backrest.

In the end they were willing to handle the repair and cleanups but one would think they would have taken proper care of the car in the first place.

Check out the residual on the Blutec deals....74%. Makes me feel even better on my Bluetec decision. Just took took my $1550 Advanced Lean Burn tax credit too. Who would have ever thought a Mercedes E would qualify for "tree hugging" tax credits...lol. I feel like such a hippy. Don't boggart that joint my friend...pass it over to me..

About a year or so ago, I heard of similar type deals for ML Bluetec's, around $500 a month OTD with little or no drive-off.
